Josie is enjoying preschool. She seems to do fine there.
However, is it selfish of me to love the fact that most days so far she has run out enthusiastically to give me a hug and tell me "I missed you mommy."

No, that's just being a mom!
I agree with Jill. Enjoy the fact that she missed you - soon enough she won't be looking back for you. And be glad that she's missing you, but not screaming and crying and protesting!
